I’m Linda Everett, accredited coach, trainer and founder of innerpower
Established in 2002, the launch of innerpower executive and personal coaching was the culmination of more than 20 years of accumulated experience, skills, study and insight gained through working with people to overcome the professional and personal challenges that limit them, cause stress and unhappiness and ultimately prevent them from attaining their goals. A qualified trainer with a strong business development background, I have a solution focused attitude to challenges. That has proved immensely useful, both in my own life and working with clients. It has taught me that people are capable of so much more than they ever imagine and when they are supported in the right way to be their best selves, the energy changes and anything becomes possible. Personal coaching and executive coaching provide that deeper level of engagement for drawing out and developing such potential. It’s powerful, exciting and the framework for innerpower.
Many people are held back or defined by their experiences and never find out what they can achieve with the right strategies, mindset and support. Years ago, I realised the power of coaching to influence change. It opens doors to possibility, inspires creative thinking and leads to fearless action. Most powerfully of all, coaching moves people to go beyond their limitations, transforming potential and empowering them to be their best selves. It became my ‘Why?’ for becoming a coach.
Background and Experience
I am fortunate to have spent many years in a dynamic business environment that provided numerous challenges and opportunities for professional and personal growth and where excellence was recognised, encouraged and rewarded.
Throughout that time, I developed and ran a successful business from the ground up. Initially a consultant, I progressed to Area Director with a lineage of 9 branches throughout the southeast. As part of the senior management team, I gained considerable experience in business management, leadership and development, including training and developing people both face-to face and over the telephone.
I broadened my knowledge further, by gaining professional image skills. My work with consultants, managers and clients who needed to project a confident professional image in business, or to advance in their career, highlighted the need for authentic image. I began to look at self-image and the role of inner confidence, self-belief and empowerment in shaping lives. It led me to a decade of study into the psychology of performance.
The impact of the recession during the early 90’s brought new insights and experiences. I spent some time working with senior professionals under tremendous pressure, who measured their worth by what they did, rather than who they were as people. I also worked as a volunteer with Bosnian refugees, who lost their homes, businesses and country because of the war. The concept of ‘inner power’ evolved. In my work as an executive and personal coach, I help clients develop the tools, strategies and mindset they need to achieve the outcomes they want. It’s a solution focussed approach that is designed to increase confidence, reduce stress and leave them feeling empowered!
A final note
The desire for happiness and success, no matter how we define it, is within us all. Sometimes we find ourselves with limiting frameworks in which to shine, hindered by unhelpful, outdated beliefs or lacking the support we need to overcome the professional or personal challenges and be our best selves.
Though Inner Power, my aim is to turn frustration into phenomenal results and leave you feeling happy, confident and empowered!
Supporting your happiness and success,
With best wishes,
